Bald eagles are one of the large birds of prey native to North America, with a wingspan of about 7 feet. In the 17 years since they were declared endangered, bald eagles have undergone a strong increase in numbers and an expansion in range. The Digital Art Photograph was taken at a wonderful Raptor Center and Hospital. Birds of Prey are brought in from all over the Carolina state with an aray of injuries and eventually returned to the wild if they are deemed able to fend for themselves.
